OHSAS 18001 is an Occupation Health and Safety Assessment Series for health and safety management systems.
It is intended to help organisations to control occupational health and safety risks.
It was developed in response to widespread demand for a recognised standard against which to be certified and assessed.
This system requires organisations to fully document;

• Roles, responsibilities, Competence, training and awareness
• Communication, participation and consultation
• Documentation, Operational control, measuring and monitoring, evaluation, investigation,
• Checking and rectification, Records and reviews
All as part of the “Plan – Do - Check – Act” process of continuous improvement.
